The last few weeks haven't all been about moths. Mike McCarthy discovered three Red-veined Darter on the storm pond at Old Costessey last week, so I popped along one lunchtime for a look at these stunning, scarce migrants. I found two males defending territories, one of which showed reasonably well - albeit in harsh light.
