10 May 2018 Bluebell

How can Bluebell woodlands not be a highlight of every British spring? At dawn last Monday, I headed out to Foxley Wood Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve for my annual spirit-lift. The woodland was mineral-cool. It resounded with Chiffchaffs, Willow Warbler, and Bullfinch. The ground was green. And extensively lilac. And splattered with magenta or white or yellow. Nobody else was there. It was a splendid #NorfolkWalk.
