In May 2019 I did a round-up piece on nine top destinations for birdwatching holidays.

BlueSkyWildlife

This relatively new, rapidly growing and very exciting company is essentially a portal for unique wildlife experiences worldwide. Blue Sky - well-known to anybody who visits the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland Water - seeks to promote responsible wildlife tourism, run by local experts who contribute to conservation or their local community. In-country travel operators advertise their services on the website - and you can now search for suitable holidays by type (e.g. birding, mammals), destination etc. I predict that the company is going to be a major player in the wildlife-travel world. In January 2019, I wrote a blog for BlueSkyWildlife assessing candidates for the title of the best birding trip in Spain
